Yannis Kontos, is an Award-Winning Documentary Photographer, Professor of Photography, Commercial Photographer and founder of ANAX Photos. He holds a PhD degree in Documentary Photography. As a storyteller, he had covered major events for over a decade in more than 50 countries of the world. His work has been recognized by 20 respected awards to date including first prize in the World Press Photo Competition. His photographs have been published in the world’s most well-known publications and have been shown at exhibitions internationally.

In addition, Kontos has been working in corporate and commercial photography for over 15 years. He first applied his photographic skills to the superyacht industry where he quickly established himself as one of the leading photographers in the superyacht market. Unlike many photographers his background in documentary photography and his studies allow him to see a different perspective. He approaches each and every project with enthusiasm and creativity that is evident throughout his work.
